So, the open source project PSGroove I reported about in my previous post can be applied to several different pre-made "USB Developer boards" for $20, or you can actually build your own board from components costing around $10.
Most of the known-to-work pre-made developer boards are already sold out all over the world after the exploit being out for around 24 hours, but more and cheaper boards will surely begin to sell soon.
MaxConsole has written a good newbie guide here, specifying on how easy it is to create your own jailbreak using the developer board AT90USBKEY.
Another board that you can build yourself is the Teensy. The schematics are available here, soldering and electronics skills needed.
