As many other sites already has reported, the system update 3.42 that Sony released a couple of hours ago breaks all current PS3 Jailbreaks, including PSGroove and PSFreedom. So if you have a jailbroken PS3, or have a PS3 that you plan to jailbreak, make sure to stay away from that update.
The update is mandatory for online play, so this of course blocks consoles still on 3.41 to connect to PSN. However, PSX-Scene has posted this article regarding some ways to connect without having the latest firmware.
